Dreams Come True

The shoot was actually split in 2 days, I called it the “cocoon” and “butterfly” parts – which is pretty easy to tell.

For the “cocoon” pictures, make-up was done by Tracy Leonard, the green dress was something I personally came up with.

For the “butterfly” pictures, hair and make-up was done by the amazing Lauren Marler (www.laurenmarler.com) and the two dresses were courtesy of Jennyvi Dizon Couture (www.jennyvi.com).

Special thanks to Serwaa Adu-Tutu for assisting me on the shoot.

To Emily (and her mom) who despite being her first shoot, was such a trooper! Keep on working hard and I wish you the best =D

Latest Photo Series Up!

Ahh, it’s been quite a while since I last posted! I don’t want to make being busy an excuse, but that is actually  a good thing =D

I hope you guys had a chance to see my latest series, Seafarer. I had a lot of fun doing that shoot in Washington. Chris was a great model and just really open to ideas. The team pretty much consisted him and I walking around and trying crazy stuff. I could have used an assistant to travel with me but I’m not that big yet. LOL

I love when models are  willing to try out things – taking risks! Of course there’s a lot of trust that has to go towards the photographer and his work. Also I don’t mind when models give suggestions because you’ll never know if it makes a great shot. That’s the good thing about digital photography, you’re virtually limitless.

I have more series coming up so stay tuned! I was also thinking of switching my blog to the actual Wordpress site as I notice a lag when I host it on my own server. =/ Alright, off to (eat, then) editing!

I recently did a test with Gavin from Arizona Model Management, trying to experiment a little bit on putting make-up on men (why not). This was with natural light, bounced off with a reflector.

Yay! New blog!

I’ve tried this thing before.. usually for documenting my trips abroad, so naturally, it would stop after I get back home. This time, I’d like to share a little bit more of everything about what’s going on with my life – through photography of course. Or even stuff that I feel deserves more than a status update on facebook or twitter =).

A few things about my site: I updated it with a new series featuring Mekel, shot in California. Check that out if you haven’t still. He was very recently signed with OHM management, so congrats!

I’m also thinking of adding another gallery to my main site, showing off the other types of photography I do. I recently shot a wedding (both real and mock!) and some new born baby pictures so I’d like to show that to you guys. I’m definitely putting it up here though, now that I actually have a blog!
